Course Structure
Each day is broken into two parts, on the first day after the introduction and warm up, we start with teaching and explaining how to throw the basic punches, from both boxing stances, from this we work on footwork, as well as movement we teach how to maintain balance on throwing punches as well as taking them on the pads.
Putting these two elements together you will learn how to shadow box, at first using the basic punches so you'll learn how and why certain punches can be put together to make realistic combinations for you and your clients.
As well as giving demonstrations our friendly coaches are on hand to encourage and support you throughout your Padbox course.
Then onto the Padwork, demonstrations are given on all the safety aspects for both boxer and trainer, and you'll take part in both the role of boxer and trainer using those combinations you've carried over from the morning. Handwrapping is demonstrated and practiced throughout the course.
On the second day after a warm up, we move onto teaching our realistic and entirely safe reactionary moves, we demonstrate how these will give you're client an insight on how to react when "punches" are being thrown at them in a perfectly safe enviroment, once you've learnt these you're shown and encouraged how to combine them with the padwork you've done earlier, there's plenty of practice time before you'll do your assessment in the afternoon.
The assessment consists of the elements learnt over the two days and is all practical.
Come and take the Padbox course, you'll learn how to take realistic boxing sessions for you and your clients in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
